update on the kiddos

Starting with youngest first!

Isaac.......is potty trained!!!!! Woohoo! I'm not sure how this happened but he was pretty much one of those weekend potty trainers. Ya know, the kind I never dreamed I would have. I was completely shocked by how easy it was especially because It happened while Ben was gone for three weeks. What a great gift to come home to huh? Isaac loves to play with balls in any setting and loves riding his bike. He continues to be really sweet; always saying thank you, and I love you, and giving hugs and kisses.

Evie......who insists on being called Evie and not Eve has created a conundrum of how I should spell her name so that people say it correctly. Not sure what to do about that yet. She is excited about learning her alphabet and numbers lately and always wants to be able to read like her older brother. She is a pretty feisty little thing, always trying to keep up with Josiah or more accurately trying to outdo him. She also has an amazing interest in animals! Anything that moves (except spiders) she loves to hold, pet, tickle, kiss, hug, communicate with, whatever. She currently has a jar of pet worms on the patio which she occasionally digs out to carry around and wiggle between her fingers. Thus, we've had to enact a "No Worms In The House" rule!

Josiah......my first grader! I can hardly believe he's that old. He's getting into the swing of things at school and making a lot of progress on his reading and math. His interests are in science, UFO's, Spaceships, robots, jets, and legos. We go every Thursday to Lego Club at the library. It's a fun way to do Legos in a social setting. The setup is very simple, just several tubs of legos around the room for the kids to create with. The kids seems to inspire each other with their creations as well as help each other find certain pieces, etc..

Well, there it is. I'm continually amazed by each of them and love watching their personalities develop. They are each their own unique, little, wonderful being and I feel so lucky to be part of their lives.

Yay, no more diapers, Mom!

Can you spell it "Eve" and let Evie correct people? You could help her learn how to do that politely.
