We spent a lot of time playing in the river and even floating in the current on our backs. I was trying to work up the gumption to float on my back but the water was COLD and Josiah yelled from the shore "Mom, just say 'I am Jill, I can do it!'" Ha! It worked, and then later it worked for him too! All those swimming lessons paid off. We were wishing we had brought some tubes to float down on. It was perfect water for it.
It's an extremely popular fly fishing destination and my brother-in-law Jon and my Uncle Orin hit the river every day. The rest of us just crashed their trip, fed them, and had a blast doing it.

Some explanation....Schmier is my sister's last name, and yes....beer of course. This was the favorite of all the amusing signs my dad used to lead us to the campsite.Ben caught this snake in the river. Evie is the little snake charmer.

I think my dad was there yesterday! And OH MY. I CANNOT believe Evie!!! What in the world. I have chills and I'm probably going to have nightmares tonight! She is so brave!!
