Volleyball

Since the beginning of December I've been spending my Tuesday evenings in the gym playing on a volleyball league. I've avoided playing volleyball since high school (I didn't even play my senior year) because I decided I didn't really like the sport, but when someone invited me to play on their team I had to rethink that decision. Our lineup was very unassuming with our tallest player at 5'7"ish, but we've been calling ourselves scrappy rats since we won't give up points easily. We also played a very clean game which feels good since lots of people in the league don't really know the legalities of the sport. I've always loved team sports and playing this season reminded me just how much. Playing on an all girls team in a co-ed league was some of the most fun I've had playing sports. It reminded me that it doesn't really matter what sport it is or how good I am at it, just being on a team and competing for a win is enough. We ended up coming in fourth! I am so proud of us!
