A friend asked me "How do you have time to knit?" and I must confess that I do knit while neglecting other things sometimes (except the kids of course.....well, maybe them too sometimes). But usually it is in a two minute lull like this one pictured above at the breakfast table. I love it because I can sit and knit while I talk to the kids or just be with them. I also spend the majority of my evenings knitting since we don't really watch TV. My friend Brooke and I are going to start knitting together weekly without the kids. I heard about a Knit to Quit (smoking) program. I think it is a great idea because knitting is very addictive and it keeps your hands busy. I think there should be a knitting diet too.
I just started knitting my own socks, which is what you see above. I am using a self striping yarn so it is a lot of fun to knit them.

I must admit that I too, am guilty of neglecting some other things in order to knit... but the kids get a lot of my attention, when I can give it to them.
Look at those lovely well-behaved kids! I can't imagine they'd ever give you trouble or require much of your attention.
