After the extreme sledding party on New Year's Eve we stayed at my Dad's house and went snowshoeing up to the top of Trout Peak. The trail is right behind his house and gets used only by us and the neighbors. It's unmaintained by the Forest Service. We realized that it's been about 5 years since we hiked all the way to the peak and probably nobody else has been up there since! It feels like our own private peak with an incredible view.

Beautiful pictures! We go snowshoeing every New Years Day too, but the place we went this year wasn't nearly as gorgeous.
