We had a simple family birthday party for Eve this year. Having a birthday right after Christmas and right before the new year is a tough time. So many people are out of town, and everyone is kind of partied out. So I'm thinking about having a half birthday party for her in June. That way her friends can celebrate too. She asked for a pink polka dot cake, so mama must deliver. I'm getting better and better at making homemade cakes. This one was a simple white cake recipe (that I added food coloring to) with almond extract in it. It was delicious. She was so happy on her special day!
