More cooking

I found this recipe on the back of my macadamia nut package after daydreaming about the possibility of blueberry and macadamia nut cookies. It was like a true miracle.
These cookies looked so awesome when I took them out of the oven that I actually swore in amazement when I saw them. They tasted equally as good.

White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies
With Blueberries

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1tsp vanila
  • 1 1/ cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1cup macadamia nuts, unsalted and chopped if you like
  • 1 cup dried blueberries (the costco brand seems to be the best)
Cream butter and sugar. add egg and vanilla. stir in flour, baking soda and salt and mix just until blended. add chips, nuts and berries, drop on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees 8-10 minutes or until tops are golden brown. Makes 3 dozen.

We are reaching the doldrums of winter up here and I find myself drawn to baking. There are lots of ideas bouncing around in my head so don't be surprised if you see more of this on here.
The kids are finding lots of silly things to do as well. Like a backwards hat party they pulled me into!

If there are winter doldrums going on at your house, it sure doesn't show up in your blog. I'd love to join the fun!
