Felted Slippers

My mom had a pair of these slippers made for her by a friend. When she visited last winter I didn't want to take them off my own feet! They seem to be the perfect combination between sock and slipper. I love them!
Felting is the same as when you shrink a wool sweater in the washing machine, only you do it on purpose. I knit these extra big and put them in the washing machine on agitate with hot water and a little soap in a zippered cloth bag. It took almost an hour but I am very happy with the finished product. I doubt I'll take them off all winter.
