Ten things

1. Ju Ju Bees Indoor Playhouse
My friend Brooke and I both got monthly memberships to this new playhouse. It is a great way to get out of the house during these cold months and the kids love it! They have a little inflatable jump house, toy kitchen, train table, tons of other toys, etc. We have been spending a lot of time there lately.
2. My new mug
This was a birthday gift from my sister. I love it because it has a little cozy pocket for your hand to go into. Not to mention it's beautiful.
3. How my socks are turning out

I successfully "turned the heel" on my first sock! I love how the self striping yarn is turning out. I'll give you another photo when they are finished.

4. John S. Goodall

This is a new author we discovered at the library. They don't have any words so Josiah can make up the story himself and the pictures are so imaginative with flaps that lift on each page. Eve loves them too.
5. 24
A new season just started of this show. We watch it online and get totally addicted each season.
6. Snowshoeing

My dad was here this weekend and Ben and I left the kids to go snowshoeing together. We have dozens of pictures like this one from when we were dating. It was fun to take one again.
7. Beans!

I bought a 25 lb bag of dried pinto beans at Costco the other day. Last night I made these amazing burritos. To make the beans just saute about a cup of onions and 4 cloves garlic until translucent. Add about 3 cups cooked beans (I do mine in the crock pot), 2 tsp cumin, a small can of diced green chilies. Smash the beans in the pan with a potato masher or wooden spoon. I made tortillas to go with them. They were so yummy......especially with some fresh avocado.

8. Eve's independence

She is amazing at getting herself dressed as you can see in this picture. She is also showing off some cute leg warmers I made her.
9. The kids' music appreciation

They are enjoying all kinds of music lately. My dad helps when he plays the guitar with them.

10. Ben's student teaching
He found a placement in Lakeside which is about 20 minutes away. The teacher he is working with is great and he's learning a lot.

I especially love the picture of Eve and the one of Isaac listening to me play guitar. I'm sure he's musically inclined. And Eve wouldn't let me help her dress either. As you know, she says "Help" which means "No help" and then she determinedly does it by herself.

I love love love that coffee mug! It makes me want coffee right now! I love when you make your lists, cause it reminds me to make lists and remember what we are thankful for at that moment and time! Hope you guys are having a good day, and see you later!
