We went to Whitefish Lake State Park yesterday and to a great playground in Whitefish. Josiah loves to explore. He and I walked around the lake looking for interesting things and collecting woodsy things. We saw a bald eagle fishing right by shore. Here are some things we collected. Josiah was excited to make these pinecone creatures after seeing it in the cute book (Children of the forest by Elsa Beskow).

Hey, do you get FamilyFun magazine? I think you guys would love it, it has loads of ideas for crafts and recipes and games, etc. Those pinecone creatures reminded me of it...

I love the Whitefish pics. The winter after Dawn died I had to go to Big Mountain to ski it, I just had to. She was always telling me about her mountains. I had a huge ache in my chest all day as I was skiing and then having coffee in Whitefish, but I knew I had to do it. It somehow made me feel closer to her.
