Planting in November

After school yesterday, as the sun already seemed to be going down :(, the kids and I stuck a bunch of garlic cloves in the garden. We put them to "bed" with a blanket of grass clippings, ready to sleep until spring.
Most of the garlic I planted was from the farm share and was smaller but so much more flavorful than the stuff you buy in the store. This summer we ate the shoots too! They are kind of like a garlic flavored green onion. I already miss the abundance of summer produce and am not satisfied with potatoes and squash right now.
