Three

This morning I awoke to songs and giggles coming from the boys room. Next, Evie's little feet jumping out of bed and down the hall to their room. They were all in there having so much fun, and I realized that was the first time they didn't all run to me and ask for breakfast immediately. Then I had another realization, or maybe a reminder, that much of why we had three kids was not for ourselves but to make the lives of our children more rich and fun filled. The thought being that more siblings would equal more fun! Because the truth is that three kids is challenging and requires a great deal of sacrifice for the parents. But, as much as it is challenging it is to the same degree filled with joy, laughter, and FUN too! So, I guess it works out for both parties as I hoped it would.

Josiah's discovering independence. Good for you, making note of this milestone. I would love to have been there, just to hear them.

I can't wait to join the 3 kid crew, much for the same reasons... we know it is going to be hard, but I think in the long run (and short) the kids will really benefit. And I love it when they wake up with giggles and w/o whines!

well put. Those were some of our thoughts behind having more than just 2 also. and mine sometimes play together when they first wake up too and I love it, so sweet how they love each other!

You are so wise- your new nickname is OWLY. Three is more fun and they do grow up learning so much from eachother and havingrich experiences to recall together and laugh about. The crisis and near misses stuff will be what they consider adventure and daring making them courageous and not afraid of the world. Love my little punkin heads!!!!
