I'm reading this great book about cooking called
The Homemade Life by Molly Wizenberg. It's actually less about cooking and more about how "food and memories are intimately entwined". With each recipe she shares her stories and memories associated with each food. I remember my sister and I in our kitchen creating all sorts of "recipe's". As we cooked we'd write the ingredients and instructions on index cards to store in my mom's recipe box so we could make them again, ha! As a teenager I would sift through my mom's recipe box looking for a chocolate chip cookie recipe and stumble upon "Kelly and Jill's strawberry vanilla surprise"(or something like that). Who knows, there may still be a few recipe's like that in the box.

So here's my kids making a "Concoction" and here's the recipe:
- 1 Pour Milk
- 1/2 Glass Water
- Two pinches Oatmeal
- 10 cheerios
- One heavy pouring of salt
- Two Squirts Ketchup
- 1 1/2 Pickles
Mix all ingredients well with two spoons.

That's cute! What a good idea... I think I might wait until they are a bit older though! Ha!
If I had that recipe box, I'd be looking through it right now.
That's really cute! What a fun idea! I bet they had a really great time.
