Flathead Lake

Happy St. Patrick's Day! We have a fun day planned of playgroup and a parade this afternoon.

We did a little exploring this weekend looking for a place to walk near the lake. It seems like living near the largest lake west of the Mississippi River would make it easy to find walking spot near the lake, but unfortunately there is very little lakefront that has public access. We had been given some vague instructions from a few people on how to find this special spot pictured above and finally we discovered it. It was definitely not openly "public", but seemed to be frequently used by the locals (exactly what we wanted). We were right next to a waterfoul production area so we saw at least 4 Bald Eagles and an immature Eagle soaring in the wind above us, it was beautiful. I'm excited to swim there this summer because most likely it will be shallow and warm.
